Cell Phone Sony Ericsson K800

The market of camera phones is a market which literally blew up last year. Sony Ericsson Cybershot K800 is the successor to the K750.

This device is first of all a cell phone which, for transferring data, work either with GPRS and UMTS, it is then a true 3G cell phone. Sony Ericsson K790 is just only GSM/GPRS/EDGE. Sony Ericsson K800 design is pretty much like a digital camera. It offers a really large screen. Holding the Sony Ericsson K800 vertically, we well have a cell phone, and holding it horizontally we find back digital camera sensations. All the photos are at the best resolutions of 3.2 mega pixels (2048x1536).

Sony Ericsson K800 is PictBridge compatible. The purpose of camera phones is not only take photos and let them on the cell phone. It essentially consists of printing them. Sony Ericsson K800 is conceived for this purpose and offers multiple solutions, such as, in first place, connection to PC but also PictBirdge compatibility which allows to print your photos with a printer, which is also PictBridge, without going through a computer. Just use a USB cable. The cell phone has a 16x digital zoom, an auto focus and a Xenon type Flash. To extend the 64 MO internal memory, you need to use new MemoryStick Micro (1 Go max).

Sony Ericsson K800 is also for the professionals. You can surf in HTML, search for RSS feed, Sony Ericsson K800 is also compatible with push email and its connectivity is extended with USB 2.0 and Bluetooth for wireless fans. And to relax, Sony Ericsson K800 is also a MP3 player.

To access to the Internet, apart from Google directly integrated and RSS feed reader, we can also note a web browser Netfront. That said, in my opinion, Opera Mini still remains the best for browsing on a cell phone. We also find an integrated module for chat.

Regarding the messaging functions, we can request the Sony Ericsson K800 to regularly pick up new email (push function). However the phone can't read word and pdf.

The device also integrates a flash player which is capable of reading animated flash and SVG format. However, the device does not integrate a 3D accelerator for games. You will have to stick with those standard java games. However, the device is now multi-thread, that means you can launch multiple java applications, read your email and listen to music all at the same time.

The cell phone has three games: FotoQuestFishing and MiniGolf.

Music wise, even if the Sony Ericsson K800 does not belong to the W serial (Walkmann), we can still play MP3/AAC, AAC+ and eAAC+. FM radio is still RDS. A new function allows to connect to Sony Ericsson servers to analyze the listened song and give data about it.
