Latest Mobiles and Accessories on Cash Back Portals

What did you get last time you bought a mobile phone from a mobile shop or downloaded a ring tone or a wall paper from a website? Perhaps a little discount on the mobile phone and nothing on the ring tone or the wall paper. Now consider this: you buy a mobile phone from a merchant who is listed on a cash back portal and get a chunk of the money you paid back either in the form of cash back or in the form of discount vouchers that you can utilise for discounts on your later purchase. This, however, is in addition to the discount which the merchant may have offered you on the product. It is clear therefore that the latter transaction via a cash back portal is more beneficial for you and faster as well due to the use of Internet.

Cash back is the chief benefit you get while shopping via a cash back portal. But what about the variety? Well, there is no compromise on that front as well when it comes to cash back portals. Since most of the cash back portals have all the major mobile shops listed on them, you will never have a trouble in tracking your favourite mobile on them. Besides the latest mobiles (which are also available with pay as you go and contract mobile services), you also get to choose a wide variety of mobile phone accessories such as chargers, wireless headsets, mobile phone cases, facials, unlocking devices, and hands free kits on these portals. Surprisingly, cash back offers are available on these petty things as well.

Coming to the ring tones, themes, logos and games, we all know that they are embedded on most of the latest handsets available. But are the in built games, themes, ring tones, and logos enough for you? Surely not.

Downloading is an easy option available if you are not satisfied with the in-built things on your mobile. But downloading costs you a lot: you not only have to pay the site from where you download but also spend something on the message you send or the call you make for the download. Cash back portals have a large of websites exclusively devoted to mobile ring tones, themes and games listed on them. Thus, they not only give you a wide range of Java games, ring tones, and wallpapers to choose from, but also give you a chance to earn cash back on all your purchases.

A Beginner’s Guide to Mobile Phone Unlocking

Have you heard about the latest trend with mobile phones? It’s called “mobile phone unlocking”, and it allows you, the rightful owner of your cell phone, to get rid of your current service provider and use whichever company you’d like—and it’s all completely legal.

Think about this: How many cell phones have you bought in your life? Did you buy them because your former service contract ran out and you weren’t happy with the company’s service or reception? Did you stay with the same company but changed service plans? Did you really want to get discontinue using your phone? How many cell phones are in your junk drawer now? What about cell phone chargers? If you added up the combined cost of your cell phones, would you be able to put a down payment on a new car?

Mobile phone unlocking pretty much works like this:

Every mobile/cell phone has a “serial number”, referred to in the industry as an IMEI, or International Mobile Equipment Identity, which simultaneously connects a phone to a particular service as well as the phone to the subscriber (you being the subscriber and your monthly payments are sent to the service.) Inside many of these phones is a removable card called a SIM (Subscriber Information Module), which is the removable medium between the phone and user and the phone and provider. Many cell phone service providers put a LOCK on the SIM so that the phone will only work with their service.

Does this really seem fair when you used your own money to purchase the phone?

By having your mobile phone unlocked, not only will you gain the ability to use whichever service provider you’d like, but you alleviate roaming charges altogether AND increase the resale value of your phone. As long as the unlocking process is done properly, no harm should come to your phone and you service should go on uninterrupted.

Of course, if you have a service contract with a particular provider, you will still have to comply with its terms and conditions, including any maintenance fees and such for the remainder.

Now that you’re informed as to the “why” aspect, a bit of “how-to” is in order.

In the not so recent past, it would be necessary for cell phone’s owner to send it away to a reputable company to unlock the phone for you. However, recent advances in technology now enable cell phones to be unlocked with the use of a “secret code” based on the IMEI and the mobile service provider. This new means of unlocking is not only more cost efficient, it grants almost immediate results as the pertinent information can be sent via email or downloaded from a mobile phone unlocking kit. All you need to do is find a legitimate phone unlocking company, and you’ll have instant access to hundreds of unlocking codes.

Guide to Buying a Mobile Phone

How web broadcasting works

A mobile phone is no longer simply a device with which you stay in contact with others. Today, a mobile phone is a multi-function fashion accessory, as necessary to your appearance as a hairstyle. From how the phone 'flips' open in front of your friends, to the groove of the ring tone, your mobile phone is a statement about who you are and how you address the world. And as every parent of a thirteen year old knows, you simply are not a 'whole person' without one.

To purchase a mobile phone, you need to address a number of issues, not the least of which is who you will be shelling out a small fortune to each month, and under what conditions, and what you want from your phone service. On top of that, you will want to decide which handset suits best and what extras and accessories you want to go along with it. Myshopping.com.au is where you can compare a range of different offers from different phones and service providers very easily, and arrive at a decision that works for you.

Mobile Phones

The centre of communications

Different phones suit different people, but at the heart of the decision is the question: Is your mobile phone the centre of your communications. The answer to this question will mean different things to people with different needs.

The student

The student's mobile phone is very definitely at the centre of communications, but quite clearly students have little money to splurge and therefore need to buy a phone that has access to economically efficient communications. The trendy phone will be important, but at a low cost. It will need to have excellent texting facility, be able to accommodate ring tones, and be easy to carry. Of lesser concern are issues such as camera and video capacity.

The busy parent

Whether working out of the home or not, a busy parent needs to be able to be in touch at odd times and in odd places. This person will be seeking a functional handset with a good network capacity. Photographic features are handy as are texting features and long talk-time.

The executive

The executive is constantly on the go, and is always in touch while on the go. This person's phone will have added features such as a teledex, web connectivity, video and photographic features. Additional accessories will include 'hands-free' capacity and portability across travel zones.

The traveller

The traveller's phone needs most of all to be portable across travel zones and able to access networks in international zones. Long battery life, video, photographic and web connectivity features are all important features considered by the traveller.

Phone choices

At the heart of your decision, is which phone to choose? Some limitations may apply according to the technology you need. If you live in a rural area, or travel to the country a lot, you will likely need access to a CDMA network, and not all handsets are compatible. The majority of Australia's urban population (95%) is covered with GSM technology, and there are a huge number of handsets available that are compatible.

The technology

Other technologies that may affect both your choice of handset and your choice of service provider are the GPRS technology, designed for sending data over the GSM network, enabling mobile phones to access the internet and receive email messages; and the PTT service (Push To Talk), a technology that allows mobile phones to be used like two-way radios.

The handset

The next step might be to decide on the type of handset you favour. Handsets come in different configurations, from the 'candybar' format (long and slim) that is able to fit into a protective carrying case and be operated by one hand. The screen and keypad are limited by the size and shape of the handset. Flip-phones and slider phones have the advantage of small size, but their screens and keypads can be larger because of the use of two halves of a 'clamshell' case. Some slider phones have keypads on a swivel, offering a two handed operation. A smartphone has a fully functional keypad that enables the editing of Microsoft word documents, presentations and spreadsheets.

Screens and memory

Colour screens are now standard in most models, but size, resolution and colours can vary, from between 101x80 pixels to 353x288 pixels; and between 4000 and 262,000 colours. The better the screen resolution, the better backgrounds and graphic images can be displayed. Mobile phones also now have onboard memories from between 16MB and 96MB (although this is a standard that changes quickly). Additional memory (500MB or more) is available on phones dedicated to gaming and mp3 playing, and some phones also offer slots for adding additional memory cards.

Battery and camera

Battery re-charge life of a phone is determined by the number of features and the amount of talk time used, but today's phones range between 10 and 14 days of standby time and 2 to 8 hours of talk time. Obviously memory intensive use shortens the re-charge time. Even the most basic phones now come with an in-built digital camera. Some now also have flash capacity, auto-focus, self-timing, continuous shooting and zoom and macro facilities. Many offer low-resolution video recording and can be used for video conferencing and receiving streaming video. Optimally, a camera with more than one mega pixel is desirable.

Connections and options

A USB port on a mobile phone enables it to be connected to your computer to transfer files. Wireless connectivity using bluetooth and infra-red allows connection between devices such as PCs and PDAs, as well as providing hands-free utilities. You may also want a voice-activated dialling feature, and voice recording functions that enable you to send MMS messages and voice memos. Phones with polyphonic ring tone capacity enable you to have a more musical ringtone, and produce a better sound.

At Myshopping.com.au you can compare all of the features of the different brand names and the prices offered by different vendors. This takes a lot of the difficulty out of narrowing down exactly what you want from you mobile phone.

Connection choices

There are essentially two choices for how you want to be connected to your phone network: a usage plan and term contract, or a pre-paid option. All service providers can offer both and under Australian legislation, your phone number is portable between service providers. Some however may charge a fee for early termination of a contract, and some may charge a fee for transferring your number from another service provider, and some may charge a fee for transferring you number to another provider. These fees are entirely at the discretion of the service provider and have no basis in actual network cost whatsoever. If it is charged, it is charged simply because they can.

You need to give some thought to how you intend (or do) use your phone. Call plan contracts are offered on the basis of how many minutes (or in some cases, 30 second units) of call time you use, and at what time of day. Carriers promote higher costs for high volume times of the day, and often reduce costs, or offer 'free' time during low times. Other low cost offers are made for calls between the phones on the same carrier network, while others offer discounts for bundling packages of home phone, mobile phone and Internet account. It's important to read the conditions attached to any of these offers. Free calls between midnight and six am may be of little value to you if you're sleeping at that time.

Pre-paid is popular choice, especially if you don't make many calls. It also enables a better management of limited funds. When deciding on your plan, look at costs such as 'flagfall' costs and the different rates at different times of the day. Also check the cost of calls when you exceed your 'cap' or limit. It is often in this area that the carrier can make money out of unsuspecting users.

The Truth Behind Free Cell Phone Stuff

Nothing is worse than taking advantage of children so I am very upset about the unethical marketing tactics of some cell phone accessories companies promoting "free cell phone stuff" in particular the ringtone industry. In a recent survey of myspace.com users the number one item purchased through links on their site is ringtones. I am sure many myspace users have seen the banner advertisements that allow you to catch the baby, shoot the frog, have Mike Tyson beat up George Bush etc. Great use of banner advertising as I have even found myself a few times trying to knock the stuffing out of our president. Once the random goals are accomplished you are redirected to a ringtone site that asks you for information regarding your cell phone. Most times after all required information is received the company will then send you a text message that will allow to download a free ringtone of your choice from the company's ringtone library. Seems cool huh? Wrong! What is barely disclosed (very small print) is the fact that once you accept this ringtone for download you have initiated a 1-2 year contract with the company to download a couple of ringtones a month for between 9.95-19.95/month on your cell phone bill. Since myspace's demographic consists of mostly 12-26 year olds this can be extremely confusing. With cells now becoming a part of everday life for most adolescents misleading advertisements promoting "free cell phone stuff" especially ringtones is enough to upset any family budget.
Another cost effective way to eliminate the cost of ringtones is ringtone maker software though it is not free users can create their own ringtones from any CD MP3 or audio file. This software is very user friendly and eliminates the need to ever purchase ringtones. With options like these available for free cell phone stuff one may ask the question: Why is the Ringtone industry so profitable? Well the answer is simple I can make a great sandwich but I still go to Subway. For those that are not on a budget or dont have the time dowloading ringtones is a great option, but for those that understand the value of do it yourself this software is a great option. In closing educated consumers beware the free in free cell phone stuff especially ringtones rarely means free if ever at all.

The Mobile Phones Today!

Mobile phones are becoming ever more popular in most countries. They are convenient, easy to use and reliable. You can contact anyone, at anytime and you can be contacted at anytime by anyone. Mobile phones not only allow you to exchange text messages; All latest mobile phones have cameras, which allow you to exchange pictures. Invented in 1997 the camera phone is now 85% of the market.

Most latest models have features beyond sending text messages and making voice calls—including Internet browsing, music (MP3) playback, personal organizers, e-mail, built-in cameras and camcorders, ringtones, games, radio, Push-to-Talk (PTT), infrared and Bluetooth connectivity, call registers, ability to watch streaming video or download video for later viewing, and serving as a wireless modem for a PC.

Some analysts claim that Europe will be the leader in inventing and implementing the mobile Internet. The reasoning rests on the fact that cellular telephones have dense penetration in many European countries. When mobile access is part of everyday life, innovative services are more likely to be launched, both because people think of them and because a market exists. Thus, the reasoning goes, Europe will lead the Internet's next phase in the same way that the United States led the Web's first phase.

Anyone who has a mobile phone would probably agree with me that once you have had a mobile phone it has become an ''addiction'' to you of having it. People who are used to mobile phones cannot imagine their lives without having one with them anytime. I personally use my mobile phone at least six times a day.

As wireless technologies evolve, the coming mobile revolution will bring dramatic and fundamental changes to the world. This revolution has already begun and is gaining momentum. The revolution will impact numerous facets of our daily lives and the way business is conducted. It will provide important data in real time to assist decision makers, exert great influence on communications between businesses and their customers, and transform the way we live our lives.

Smokin' Hot Cell Phones

What is a cell phone? I am sure most all of us have been exposed to a cell phone by now. In fact, it is safe to bet that most of us own one or more cell phones already. After all, there are around 1.7 billion cell phone subscribers around the globe today. So getting back to the question; a cell phone is basically a telephone that connects to a telephone network wirelessly using radio transmission technology. As Wikipedia points out, the cell phone communicates via a network of base stations which are in turn linked to the conventional telephone network.

There are several different features to consider when buying a cell phone. You will want to consider weight, size, color, battery life, dual-mode capability (analog and digital), camera capability, video capability, color of display, walkie talkie capability, etc. There are also several different types of cell phones. There are flip phones, single-piece phones, PDA phones, Blackberry phones, and others. You have plenty of features to choose from, so your cell phone selection may take a little time.

Cell phones are manufactured by many companies around the world. You can find cell phones made by Nokia, Sanyo, Samsung, LG, palmOne, and BlackBerry. All of these manufacturers make a nice cell phone, so it really comes down to which features you are looking for that determines which cell phone you purchase.

Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon, Cingular, US Cellular, Cellular One and many other companies offer cell phone service in the United States. Cell phone service plans typically have a certain number of anytime minutes, unlimited nights and weekends, unlimited long distance, call waiting, caller ID, and several other features. These additional features may include text messaging capability, internet browsing, walkie-talkie capability, paging and conference calling.

Ringtones are currently a feature of cell phones that very popular. People customize the ring on their cell phone with a song, tune, melody, etc. Ringtones can be free or they may cost up to $5 each. There are several websites where you can find ringtones for your phone. I will post a more informative article in the near future regarding ringtones. In the meantime you can find more information by typing “ringtone” into Google and running a search.

How to Get Your Cheapest Cell Phone Service Plan and Providers

Shopping for a good cell phone service plan is not the same as shopping for garbage bags where more often than not, cheaper is better. Even with garbage bags you get what you pay for. Finding the best cellular provider for your personal needs is a bit more complicated, but doesn't have to be painful or mind boggling.

We are all naturally inclined to search for the cheapest cell phone service the same way we might scan over flyers in the Sunday paper looking for those cheap prices and special offers. If this is how you are shopping for cell phone carriers, you are not going to be a very happy camper once you start getting your bill.

There are two major factors you absolutely must consider before you purchase a cell phone plan. Usage, and plan types. By understanding your calling habits, and the difference in cell phone calling plans, you've already won half the battle in lowering your cell phone bill or keeping you cellular bill low before you even purchase a plan.

A common misconception is that cell phone service can be grouped into two plan types. Prepaid and monthly. While this is somewhat true, prepaid itself can also be broken down into two separate categories. Monthly prepaid, and pay as you go. Before considering your usage you'll want to make sure you understand the plans.

Pay as you go cell phone service is a type of prepaid cellular plan that allows you to use the cell phone service very much the same way you might use a prepaid phone card by purchasing your minutes in advance. A pay as you go cell phone plan is best for people who just want the cell phone for emergencies, or will rarely use the cell phone.

Monthly prepaid cell phone plans are much more convenient than pay as you go, since many prepaid providers offer extras similar to monthly cell phone plans such as mobile-to-mobile minutes or nights and weekends as free calling time. Since it's prepaid, you can't go over your minutes, so these plans are perfect if you'll need to make calls frequently but are on a budget.

Monthly cell phone plans probably don't require a whole lot of explanation; However, if you want the cheapest monthly cell phone service you may still want to think about who in your family is using pay as you go, or monthly prepaid by that same cellular provider in order to get the most from your free mobile-to-mobile minutes.

This applies to all three cellular service types. Check with your friends and family members. Find out who they are using for service. If you are a Cingular customer, you can call other Cingular customers, and GoPhone by Cingular customers free and vice versa by taking advantage of your free mobile-to-mobile calling.

Verizon has similar plans with compatible mobile-to-mobile between it's prepaid and monthly customers. Cingular also offers roll over minutes, so any of your Cingular, or GoPhone anytime minutes you don't use in any given month, will roll over for use in the following month.

So who offers the cheapest cell phone service? I would have to say, even though their bottom line price is a little more than other cell phone service providers, most people are going to save money with the advanced calling features and plans provided by GoPhone for prepaid, or Cingular for monthly, with Verizon running a close second.

Cell Phones - Nice or Nuisance?

Cell phones have become such an integral part of our lives that it's hard to imagine how we ever survived without one. But it does raise the question - do you really want or even need to be available 24/7? The more available you make yourself, the more available everyone expects you to be, to paraphrase the words of a famous person. Nowadays people expect you to answer immediately, and will be annoyed when you don't instead of thinking that hearing from you is a pleasure. Someone who expects you to always be available can become quite annoying. Have you ever had a call on your cell phone when you're in the bathroom? Or left your cell phone on at night, only to have someone ring you when you're fast asleep? Nobody minds getting a call when it's important, but what about if it's not?

Whenever you walk around in our modern world, you see people with their cell phone clamped to their ear, talking away. If you're a businessperson, there are times when being instantly available is extremely useful and profitable. But for most of us, that call that we get when we're on the toilet or fast asleep isn't usually going to win or lose us a million bucks, mostly it could have waited until a more convenient time. Still, you left the phone on, so you made yourself available to take the call.

In a bygone era, etiquette and manners ruled society with an iron fist, but these have gone out the window in the modern world of cell phones. Have you gone to a quiet restaurant for an intimate dinner with your special partners, only to be disrupted numerous times throughout the meal by the person at the table next to you talking at full volume on their cell phone? I certainly hope you turned off your own cell phone during the meal! I occasionally speak to groups, and there's nothing more annoying and distracting than a cell phone ringing. No matter how much you try to ignore it, it disrupts the presentation both for you and for the audience. Even worse is when the offender actually answers the call there and then. It should be automatic to turn off your cell phone before a meeting or presentation.

Another big no-no as far as I'm concerned is having your cell phone on in a place of worship. I believe the correct etiquette is that you don't take the phone at all, or at most have it set to vibrate if a call comes in. And you definitely shouldn't answer it. God probably isn't very impressed with your expensive gadget, and nobody else will be either if it disturbs their prayers.

Prepaid Sim Card for Italy

Like most of the countries in the world, Italy has opted for Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) technology for their mobile operation. GSM systems are used in nearly 200 countries having over 600 million subscribers worldwide. GSM is a part of the world wireless evolution, embracing all areas of technology, providing digital clear communication in global seamless wireless services. It hardly matters where you are in Italy. You are always connected with the prepaid sim card for Italy.

A prepaid SIM card is the one, which is used in a GSM mobile phone and does not need a contract to be signed for the services in making and receiving calls. It is just an upfront payment for the credit that you would want for making your calls and sending text messages or availing other value-added services. Since it is pre-paid you will never receive a bill at the end of the month. When you buy a prepaid SIM card for Italy, it usually carries a talk time value and as you are about to come to the end of the time limit, you need to add more credit in your SIM card by purchasing 'Re-charge Vouchers' of the denomination that you want. This coupon will extend your talk time limit for the value prescribed by the card. It is a real saving for you. Consider those days when you had to make calls from your hotel room and the charges you paid for those calls. When you compare that with that of a pre-paid SIM card for Italy, you will be surprised with the kind of savings that you have.

If you are traveling to Italy and you have your current mobile handset with you, be warned that you cannot use your handset in Italy, unless your phone is a GSM tri-band handset. It should be in unlocked state and compatible with the network bandwidth in Italy. An alternative is to rent a GSM handset from planetomni.com, which is by far the best economical solution for you, for, you can avail the same service as the Italian does. To learn more about renting, you can look them up at www.planetomni.com/RENT_INFO.shtml or better still call them. On your next visit to Italy, buy a SIM card for Italy and rent a GSM mobile phone. and find it out yourself. For all the explanations regarding sim cards and GSM phones, why not visit www.planetomni.com/FAQ_sim.shtml for sim cards and http://www.planetomni.com/FAQ_gsm.shtml for GSM mobile FAQs.

The next step is to activate the SIM card in your mobile phone. A general procedure is given below, which is just for guidance and your service provider should be able to let you have detailed instruction on these:

Make sure you have the re-charge vouchers, providing you enough credit to last your stay in Italy. These you can buy in Italy at any tobacco shop.

Make sure that you have with you a tri or quad band GSM phone.

At any time, before or after you reach Italy, insert your pre-paid SIM card for Italy into your GSM mobile handset.

Place a call to activate your service.

You are now connected.

When you have finished, or about to come to the end of your call credits in your mobile, you will need to put in more of credits in-order that you may continue using your mobile phone. All you need to do is either use the re-charge vouchers that you had brought along-with you, or purchase these vouchers locally in the different denominations available. If you wish to buy these vouchers in Italy, please note that there is a nominal tax that you have to incur while buying these vouchers. However, the vouchers are meant for you to top up your call credits, so that you can make calls from your phone. The incoming calls will continue to be received by you, since incoming calls, in such pre-paid SIM card, are totally free. In some cases, you can purchase your credit in form of re-charge codes over the phone. You need to punch in the code to validate your mobile to the additional credit that you have just purchased.

Unlocking GSM Phones

Unlocking your phone is just the reversal of the process of locking. It all concerns with a code, which is put into the phone through certain software. In the same way, software is needed to reverse the logic. This process is available for almost every type of mobile phones today. You have several options for unlocking a phone but the best and simplest way is to use such a service provider expertise, which can do the job for you. Just fill up a form, pay a charge for the service and upon registering with the provider, the unlocking code will be yours.

Let us have a look at the locked and free mobiles first before proceeding on the issue of how to unlock the mobile and what best way to adopt for such unlocking.

Once you have accepted a locked GSM phone from a service provider under a certain contract, it becomes illegal to unlock that phone and use it with another service provider’s sim card. This is evident fro m the terms that you have entered into while accepting the contract. Many users, both, in U.S. and around the world, are not aware of this fact. Though such a service apparently seems to be a discounted offer, with a free mobile phone and free minutes with certain number of free SMS, there can be hidden charges in form of the price you pay for roaming. Therefore, the disadvantage of such carrier endorsed mobile is that when you go out of the prescribed territory, you will be forced to use your SIM card as a roaming; you will need to use the same services and pay according to the rates of that service provider.

In order to attract such sales, such service providers take recourse to using advertising media, both print and electronic, to make their offers most attractive in terms of discounts offered. As a result a customer is easily lured into having their product expecting the best, while actually receiving the worst. So beware of the attractive audio, video, and print advertisement when some offers of discount services relating to mobile phones come up and think twice before buying one. It is advisable that you discuss the commercial matter at length with the service provider and most importantly, read the fine prints of the terms before you sign such a contract. This contingency would not have been there in case of a Factory Unlocked Phone where you could have changed your SIM card for a local prepaid SIM card where incoming calls would be free. Experience makes a man smarter. So also the prospective customer of a mobile phone service becomes smarter when he finds or gets the knowledge about the drawbacks of the carrier locked mobile phones. Studies at various levels reveal that it is better to have an unlocked phone. But once again there is a pitfall for the prospective customer here. One should clearly distinguish between a carrier unlocked and Factory Unlocked Phone. The main drawbacks of a carrier unlocked mobile phone are:

  • The mobile might have been unlocked with pirated software that may even make your warranty void.
  • Even if you try a correct IP setting to connect your provider via WAP or GPRS, the browser will automatically try T-Zones in case of T-Mobile carrier unlocked phone or mLife in case of an AT&T carrier unlocked phone.
  • Therefore, it is always prudent to have the Factory Unlocked Phone in place of any carrier unlocked phone. However, certain phones like Samsung SGH-S105 and few others come only as Carrier unlocked model, leaving you no choice to go for the alternative.

A factory unlocked mobile allows you the option to change services and network at will. However, you have to be cautious while making a choice between the presumptive factory unlocked phone and a true one. The real one will have:

  • Fully unlocked data and voice transmission facilities at every level.
  • Allows you to insert any carrier’s SIM card inside.
  • Allows logging on the net using WAP and GPRS.
  • Allows sending files both audio and video using the IP browser configuration.
  • You can take leave of your present provider at any time and use the services even that of a competitor. It includes the overseas provider’s services too.
  • The ability to use SIM card from any provider becomes particularly useful in continental Europe and Asia where with one prepaid SIM card you can travel the entire continent getting both voice and data and a single phone number too.
  • The incoming calls are Free in a factory unlocked phone in Europe and Asia unlike America.
  • With an unlocked phone, you can simply plug in to a different SIM Card to change service providers. The process is as simple as that.
  • Some people may prefer to unlock their phone in-house. Mobile phone services give you a unique serial number in your phone for identification by the service provider. A mobile phone uses a removable account card known as the SIM card (Subscriber Information Module Card) having a unique serial number on it. This enables the provider to identify the customer. The peculiarity is that, whatever handset you use the phone number changes automatically with the SIM card change since the provider only sees the SIM and not your phone set. The opposite is also true, that any phone can work with any SIM and it is not necessary to change the phone if you wish to change the SIM. Some providers lock their phones with programming to work only with the SIM issued by their service providers. If you can reverse that program, for the phone to work with any SIM, it will be called unlocking of the phone.

Most of the service providers, offering a free phone along-with their services, lock the phone which you select. This means it can only work with a specific network. At times even the monthly pay mobiles are locked. However, the mobile can be unlocked with a code that allows you to use another SIM card from a different network. You have the following options:

    1. You can obtain the services of the phone network but usually they charge quite high. This will not be available till your term ends with the service provider.

    2. You can use an online unlock service which is convenient and cheaper.

    3. You can purchase a special unlocking clip or software.

Once unlocked, you can use any network or service provider’s utilities on your phone. There are numerous companies that provide a cheaper and easier process to unlock your mobile providing an unlock code. However, there is a cliché here too. The unlock code you obtain from a company may be compatible to only one or two networks and others still remain inaccessible. And at other times they do not work at all and the provider companies take the plea that your mobile is not compatible to their code. And when you try an unlocking in house without trying for a provider there is always the risk of faulty operations and system crash. You may consider buying an unlocking clip or software but that may only be suitable when there are several phones to unlock since they are quire expensive.

A warning again before you attempt to unlock such a locked mobile phone which is still operating under the terms of the service provider. Remember that you have signed a contract. As said earlier, it is illegal to unlock the phone which is still under a contract.

We are a quality provider of unlocking codes for all sorts and specifications of mobile phones and have been in the fray for quite some time now working to the best satisfaction of all concerned. We provide codes that will be compatible to almost all networks over the globe and with mobiles of any make or specifications. And the best part of it is that the charges are moderate and most user-friendly.

For unlocking a phone you have to find out the 15-digit IMEI number on your mobile. You then type a code that is compatible with the specific network system. This code varies with the network that you are using. The IMEI number is available at the back of the body your phone. The unlocking service provider provides you with a number that you punch in your mobile, to unlock.

There might be one inconvenience for you when your phone is not compatible to a remote unlocking service. In that case there will be no way out but to send your phone to us to perform the unlocking operation for you. However there is still a way out of this soup.

Ordinarily when you unlock your phone in-house, the provider may come to know about this. It may be possible for them to inquire through the cell service control signal. Moreover since most of the transactions are pre-committed with a contract of one or two years with service providers, unlocking the phone yourself will not be much help since you will be continuing to use that provider’s service in your phone and you cannot change service provider without following a cumbersome process. Your only gain in such a contractual service is free minutes you get and locking or unlocking by yourself does not make much difference.

Experience shows that even when a customer unlocks the phone, it can be relocked by the service provider. Sometimes even the worse thing happens. You buy one digital mobile phone locked by the service provider, and have it unlocked, so that you can use it with a SIM provided by another service provider. If you happen to be a novice and you happen to take your mobile phone with you for your new service provider to place the SIM in your phone, he may in turn lock your phone. It is better to go for a product or services provided by the experts on the field. Doing-it-yourself requires the experience in such unlocking matters.

Shopping Today For The Best Mobile Phone Is Easy!

It’s official! The mobile phone has become a fashion accessory whether we like it or not. Despite the fact that most folks only use their cell phone to make calls and send text messages, many still opt for the all singing all dancing high prided models for no other reason than they’re ‘in’. They’re the latest talking point and the envy of all your friends. On top of all that, they look good.

The cosmetic appearance of the modern mobile has become a designer’s nightmare, as they all compete to bring out the best shape, colours and designs. Phone companies are on a runaway train and if they dare to stop off along the way, they run the risk of losing their market share to their nearest rivals.

Before mobile phones became hot fashion accessories, it was cameras that adorned the necks of the happy snappers which were considered the coolest status symbol. Whoever had the biggest and best, the longest lens, and a book full of perfect pics, was considered to be the man or woman about town. The mentality for cameras and photographic gadgetry was similar to what we now see with mobile phones. By that I mean folks tend to wear them more than they use them. So may people had cameras that were so versatile and professional, yet they kept them on point-and-shoot mode at all times. Knowing how to use it wasn’t important, owning it was all that mattered.

So, when looking for the Best Mobile Phone, even if you like to sport the best and latest models, there are a few useful pointers which you may want to consider before making your next purchase.

Firstly, remember that the latest model is pensioned off at about 6 months old. This means, if you like it now, you’ll probably still like it when its been around a while and this is the perfect time to buy, as the prices can literally plummet.

Some models look the same yet one has more features than the other. You need to ask yourself if you really need those additional features, and if the answer is no, then you could save again. You still get to hold you best mobile phone and only you know it’s the feature-less not the feature-rich model. What the clever mobile phone buyer tries to do is get a good design which has enough features, and adequate performance to suit their individual needs.

Before you go shopping for the best mobile phone, write down what it is you use it for. If you’ve owned a mobile previously, this should be an easy task. When you know exactly which phone features you will make use of and which you won’t, you will be able to make an informed decision with you next purchase and won’t be influenced by the sales patter of the commission driven store rep.

Cell Phone Ringtones Bring Your Phone To Life

Cell phones have revolutionized the way people communicate. Within 20 years cell phones have moved from luxury devices to devices of necessity. Cell phone ringtones are one of the most popular accessories used in cell phones. The annual sales of cell phone ringtones reach approximately $3 billion.

Ringtones have changed the soundscape of modern communication. A ringtone is the sound made by a cell phone to indicate an incoming call. The cell phone makes the ringing sound in response to a special ringing radio frequency sent by the cellular service to indicate incoming calls. They were initially provided in cell phones so that the user could differentiate between its own cell phone rings from other cell phones'. However cell phone ringtones have become even more diversified leading to personalization of cell phones.

Presently many ringtones such as sing tones, voice tones, caller tunes, monophonic tones, polyphonic tones, true tones etc are available freely and on payment basis on the internet. From Britney Spears to Shakira, crying babies to diving fighter planes, all sorts of ringtones are available. Cell phone ringtones started out as simple rings and beeps, but present day ringtones are generally polyphonic. Polyphonic ringtones use two or more independent melodies playing synchronously. Current cellular phones can play four to forty tones and notes simultaneously. Polyphonic ringtones have literally silenced monophonic tones due to their superior and pleasant quality. They can play guitars, drums, pianos and other sound instruments.

Cell phones are available with preinstalled tones. If the user is not satisfied with them he can download ringtones from the internet or from other phones. The usual formats for ringtones are either MP3 or MIDI.

The latest cell phones can store quite a lot of ringtones. There are facilities available for storing different ringtones set for different people on the phone book. In addition, different ringtones for SMS (short messaging system), MMS (Multimedia messaging system) and voice calls can also be kept. Voice ringtones are a fad these days. Ringtone downloads of voices of famous people, movie stars and other popular voices like that of the Star Wars characters Yoda, Chewbacca, R2D2 etc are available. Yoda is particularly popular with the phrase "Answer the phone you must".

Vibrational ringtones are used in noisy places, while traveling, by hearing impaired, places where silence is mandatory like movie theaters libraries, hospitals, meetings etc. With vibra ringtones the cell phone vibrates to get the attention of the user.

Cell phones have moved from being simple communication devices to a kind of adornment and fashion statement. Ringtones help make the cell phone appear more lively and attractive and thus reflect on the personality of the user.

The Importance Of the Internet And Mobile Phones To Young People

Young people use the Internet for many different reasons, and most teenagers use it everyday. A lot of young people use the Internet at school to research information for homework and projects. Many also use it to email their friends.

Nearly all teenagers have visited Internet chat rooms. Many of them use chat rooms to meet new people and exchange news and information. ‘Teen talk’ is one of the most wee-known chat rooms in the UK.

Over 70% of teenagers use the Internet to visit official fan sites. Leonardo DiCaprio’s official web site is one of the most popular, along with football sites for teams such as Manchester United. A few young people actually create their own websites which they dedicate to their favorite film star or sports star.

Not many teenagers buy clothes on the Internet. At the moment, teenagers would rather buy sportswear from sports shop. However, it has been predicted that Internet shopping will become more popular with young people in the future.

This means that people are using the Internet more and more for everything from entertainment to research. Teenagers, who have Internet access, use it mostly to send emails or to visit fan sites and chat rooms. In the future, the Internet will be accessible not only on computers, but also on mobile phones. Young people will continue to use it more and more. Another thing that young people probably won’t be able to exist without is mobile phone. Nearly half of the people buying them say they have bought them for personal use only. They are bought by both boys and girls alike.

Many young people use the phones to contact their parents if they are going to be late back from school. Others use the phone to stay in touch with friends, or discuss homework during the week.

The phones have become fashionable. Young people compare different types, ringing tones and programmes.

Many phones have often been bought as presents. Young people like the look of the phone. Young people out alone feel safer if they can reach family and friend quickly.

Almost three million mobile phones have been bought as Christmas presents this year. It has been predicted that over half of the total number of the British young people will possess a mobile phone in the next five years.

Almost all communications will be on the mobile phone in the next ten years.

This suggests the following: owning a mobile phone is not a sign of how much money you have but a means of keeping in touch.

Young people will continue to buy more and more mobile phones.

What To Do If Your Your Mobile Phone Is Stolen

Loosing a mobile phone is not an uncommon thing for anyone in this world. You must have heard that your friend or any other person forget his or her phone in a hotel, car, garden, park. and when he or she goes to pick up phone, mobile phone is not there. Now what to do if your mobile phone is stolen.

In many countries like Uk, there is mobile phone database, which can prevent lost or stolen mobile phones from being used on any mobile network, thus these stolen mobile phones are worthless to anyone. This system exactly works like a stolen credit card, whenever you loose your credit card, you simply make a phone call to your requisite bank to deactivate your credit card. Similar is the case with mobile phones, you call your service provider and give them a specific number to deactivate your stolen mobile phone. This system applies to both prepay and postpaid packages.

Every mobile in this world has a unique code called as International mobile equipment identity (IMEI Number). This is a unique serial number of every mobile phone. If you provide this serial number to your network operator, they will deactivate your stolen mobile phone. No one can use your mobile phone even if the person who has stolen your mobile, insert new Sim in the mobile. This mobile will be useless for all networks or service providers. All mobile network operators will deactivate or disable the phone by reference to this unique IMEI number of the mobile phone.

Now question is how to get this IMEI number? This number can normally be found under the battery of mobile phone (looking something like 087489/99/125486/9). You can also get this number from the phone software, by entering following useful code. Simply write down on your mobile phone following code.* # 0 6 # A 15 digit code will appear on the screen after pressing send button, or in some phones it comes automatically just by writing * # 0 6 #. So whenever you buy a mobile phone, get this code from the battery or simply write above code on your phone and get IMEI number.

After this, record this 15 digit IMEI number and your phone number on your personal note book, place this book at a safe place and that's it. Now suppose if you lost your phone, make a call to your service provider and give them your phone number and this particular key,i.e IMEI number. They will deactivate your stolen mobile phone. You probably won't get your phone back, but at least you know that whoever stole it can't use/sell it either. If everybody do this, there would be no point in people stealing mobile phones

Remember your mobile phone is very valuable for you. You may have very important data stored in it. So take care of your mobile phones. Don't use your mobile in crowded areas or where you might feel unsafe. Government is trying to encourage mobile phone companies to give more options for improving mobile phone security.

So remember this simple code * # 0 6 #. Tell all your friends and colleagues to get IMEI number with the help of this code. If all of us simply follow this tip of making mobile secure, believe me, no one will try to steal your mobile phone.

The Ultimate Way To Personalize Your Cell Phone: Nametones

Since the first Nokia tune, which is still the standard sound for Nokia phones, there has changed a lot. The original goal of ringtones was to personalize your mobile phone. So when it rings you will be able to know it is your phone that is ringing, and not someone else's.

The first ringtones that personalized your phone were the monophonic ringtones, these ringtones are based on one single beep-like tone. And at the time they first came out they were the newest gadget to show-off with. These days they're a bit boring. Because after the monophonic ringtones the polyphonic ringtones came. Polyphonic ringtones are ringtones that are based upon more beep-like tones. So it sounds almost like real music. Polyphonic ringtones are the standard nowadays, but realtones are coming in fast.

Realtones are ringtones that are not based on beepy sounds like the monophonic ringtones and the polyphonic ringtones. Realtones are actually the real sounds of artists. Realtones are 30 seconds during mp3 songs. Realtones are totally it these days! But they're very expensive, because there must be made big contracts with music label companies. And companies who legally sell realtones have to pay a lot for every sold item. But witch realtones you can do a lot of things, they don't necessary need to be real songs of real artists. You can also record a burping sound, or a chewing cow as a realtone! Those sounds are called truetones. But let's get to the point. Let's get to the ultimate way to personalize your mobile cell phone.

The ultimate way to personalize your mobile cell phone are nametones or naam ringtones. Nametones are actually realtones, or mp3 ringtones. Those nametones (or naam ringtones) are songs that are recorded with your name in it. So when your phone rings you don't hear Madonna's newest hit, no you hear your phone shouting at you to pick up your phone! So you always know when it is your phone when you hear a phone ringing. There are different sorts of nametones, you have nametones in the form of a song where someone is singing that you're phone rings. Those nametones are in different sorts of genres like hardcore, hip hop, bubbling, pop and a lot more! Also there are celebrities telling you to pick up your phone, or just normal people with a funny voice and some swearing tell you to pick up your phone.
